When I first used the treadmill, I used the "physical" toggle on the heart rate arm to move the speed from zero to 4.0 and it was responsive speeding up and down. Within a few sessions, that changed and now I use the electronic selection for 2 MPH and after a few moves up using the toggle, I use the electronic selection for 4MPH. When it is time to cool down, I use the toggle but it is unreliable in response. Sometimes it goes down .1 but other times it does not. I tried to pause between toggles but that seemed to have no effect. It works about 1/3 of the time and only repeated toggles work to change the speed in either direction. (I have not used the elevation toggle so I do not know if it has the same problem.) My 24-year-old Pacemaster treadmill had an electronic up and down buttons on the console for both speed and elevation and they both worked reliably until I bought this new treadmill.
